Mycelial Threads connects dancers in Cologne (DE) and Oulu (FI) in real time via digital technologies - inspired by the underground network of the mushroom mycelium, which functions as an organic communication system in nature.

Just as the mycelium transmits information, nutrients and impulses over long distances through the finest threads, this hybrid performance interweaves an artistic network of physical and digital spaces. Mycelial Threads explores how principles from nature - symbiosis, branching, feedback - can inspire the relationship between body and technology.
The performance tests new models of international collaboration beyond geographical borders - ecologically sustainable and artistically innovative.
