Regional landscapes: From the oldest Bavarian Forest to the Franconian Jurassic, the quarry slab land and old volcanoes of the Upper Palatinate to the Tertiary hill country and Gäuboden. Landscape formation by water and wind. Soil; micro-habitat and types. Minerals from historical mining in Eastern Bavaria. Properties and system of minerals. Lignite mining in the Upper Palatinate.
Minerals from Eastern Bavarian mining: properties, crystal structure and system. Phenomenon of fluorescence in short-wave light.
Tertiary volcanism in the Upper Palatinate: The Parkstein, a solidified lava plug of basalt columns with a polygonal cross-section.
Rocks you can touch and large-format landscape photos convey a vivid impression.
