The one and only Queen of Hip-Hop, Nicki Minaj, has now officially announced the dates of her 2024 world tour, "Nicki Minaj Presents: Pink Friday 2 World Tour". Her fans, The Barbz, have been eagerly anticipating her live return with headline arena concerts in North America and Europe. On 05.06.2024 she will rap live again, as part of an NRW-exclusive concert, at the LANXESS arena.

Nicki Minaj has been setting the tone in music, fashion and beauty for more than a decade - she has made history and built her personal superstar brand in the process. Minaj became "the first woman to score 100 Billboard Hot 100 hits," with an astounding total of 133 tracks (the most among female hip-hop acts). This includes three number one hits, over 70 top 40 hits (also a record among female hip-hop acts) and 23 top 10 hits (another record among female
hip-hop acts). As a songwriter, she also holds the record for the "most Billboard Hot 100 entries among women in the 2010s". Her breakthrough hit "Super Bass" surpassed the 1 billion YouTube views mark, making it an all-time record breaker alongside hits like "Anaconda". This makes her the first female rapper to pass the 1 billion mark with several solo tracks. In addition, with nine videos to date, she is the first female artist with the most videos with more than 1 billion views.

Her rise can be traced back to her groundbreaking debut "Pink Friday" from 2010. According to MRC Data, it sold over 375,000 copies in its first week. Right out of the gate, the album marked the biggest sales week for a female hip-hop artist since Lauryn Hill in 1998.

In addition to her music, Minaj has made numerous television and film appearances, including as a judge on "American Idol", in film roles on "The Other Woman" alongside Kate Upton, Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann, and in 2016 in "Barbershop: The Next Cut". She was also a voice actress for "Ice Age: Continental Drift". She also holds high-profile collaborations with Fendi, Adidas, H&M, Diesel, Mercedes-Benz, Sprint and Pepsi, launched a nail polish collection with OPI and was the face of MAC's Viva Glam campaign. Her branded lipstick was the brand's best-selling Viva Glam lipstick of all time, according to Racked. She is co-owner of TIDAL and her radio show BEATS 1 QUEEN is considered "the highest rated show in Apple Music history".

Minaj has accelerated her unprecedented momentum in the 2020s, which has seen her make history. In 2021, "Beam Me Up Scotty" stormed to the top of the charts as "the best-selling female rap mixtape in Billboard 200 history". Not to mention, "Super Bass " became her first RIAA diamond-certified single. In 2022, "Super Freaky Girl" impressively debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it "the first solo song by a female rapper to land at No. 1 on the Hot 100 this century." Among other firsts, she is also "the rapper with the most solo albums in Billboard 200 history, the most top 10 albums in Billboard 200 history", "the most honored female rapper at the American Music Awards" and "the first female rapper with over 30 billion Spotify streams".

The Queen of Hip-Hop will make aguest appearance with her Pink Friday 2 World Tour on 05.06.2024 with an NRW-exclusive concert in the LANXESS arena.
