ODYSSEE - Musik der Metropolen

Due to a medical emergency in the singer's family, Da Cruz has had to cancel the Odyssey concerts with a heavy heart. This is the first concert cancellation in the band's 20-year history. Da Cruz was very much looking forward to this concert series and formally apologizes to everyone involved in this wonderful event. But the sad circumstances have unfortunately left no other option. Nevertheless, we will be dancing together at the ODYSSEE this week. To the sounds of the TransAtlantic Club Orchestra (TACO), who were able to step in at short notice. Cumbia, organic house & global beats - music between the continents
After a creative break of five years, they are back - with new energy, fresh tracks and danceable visions: TransAtlantic Club Orchestra (TACO) combines the best of two musical worlds - between the pulsating clubs of Europe and the traditional sounds of Latin America. Their sound? A unique fusion of cumbia, Andean folklore, hip-hop and electronic club music - with a strong focus on organic house. Earthy percussions meet driving beats, flowing synth landscapes meet traditional instruments. TACO creates an organic, hypnotic flow that unfolds both on the dancefloor and in the open air - musically deeply rooted and yet open to global influences. TACO is back - powerful, multi-layered and danceable. Global bass meets house, cumbia meets club culture. A transcontinental soundtrack for the new world - organic, electronic, boundless.

Please note the following information when visiting the Freilichtbühne Wattenscheid: The Freilichtbühne Wattenscheid allows one 0.5-liter PET bottle of water per person at the three Odyssee concerts. Bags and rucksacks larger than A4 format, animals, glass in any form (bottles, glasses etc.), weapons (dangerous objects, umbrellas, fire, fireworks etc.) as well as food and other drinks are not permitted. Your bags/backpacks will be checked by security staff at the entrance.
