In the organizer's words:

In times when concerts have become mass-produced, productions are becoming more and more expensive and we only experience live moments through our cell phone screens, OFF STAGE is making a conscious statement and breaking up the classic concert concept.

We want to turn concerts back into what they used to be: immersive experiences. A place in the now. Without cell phones, closer, more intense and more personal than ever before.

The format completely dispenses with the stage, photo pit and classic concert setups.
The artists stand directly in the audience - without barriers, without distance.
This creates a unique live feeling that was previously not possible in this form.

OFF STAGE describes this concept as
"the MTV Unplugged that everyone wanted - but never got."

With only 300 guests per show, a special atmosphere is created that enables an intimacy that is otherwise not possible.

In order to create this atmosphere, personal photo and video recordings are prohibited. Not to restrict anything, but to enable a real live experience and to have the focus 100% on the artist.

As a souvenir of the evening, a live recording of each show will be produced and later published on all common streaming platforms.
