Kiezbotschaften: A theater workshop on language in public space

Your neighborhood is full of messages: bakery opening hours, instructions to keep the peace at night, graffiti telling you that Mannheim loves you, stickers on the pedestrian traffic lights from the Mannheim Eagles or a feminist collective from Necki-West, or a soggy piece of paper promising a finder's fee for a lost bunch of keys. The opening hours are perhaps similar in every Mannheim neighborhood. But what about the other messages? What written messages make up your neighborhood? The collected texts from your neighborhood will be given a voice in this theater lab. Anyone aged 16 and over can take part. No previous theater experience required.
