In the organizer's words:
Experienced amateur astronomers are available to the public every Monday evening from 18:30 to 19:30(except on public holidays and on the dates of the "Monday lectures") to answer questions in the field of astronomy. Our library and a small exhibition complete the offer.
Observations take place at the refractorium in clear weather (Free admission!):
- Stargazing ("Sternführung"):
Mondays at 6:30 pm(November through March)If you are not sure whether the weather will permit a star tour, simply ask between 18:30 and 19:00: (0228) 22 22 70 or contact us by email at the weekend:(internet@volkssternwarte-bonn.de)
- Solar observation:
Mondays at 18:30(mid-April to mid-September)
When the sun shows sunspots or prominences, you can observe them with our special telescope. Special astronomical events: Observations after special announcement in our schedule and the daily press and only in clear weather.
- Individual observation appointments can be arranged by e-mail or during a personal visit to the observatory.
- No public observations are possible on Mondays when lectures from the "Mondays at the Observatory" series take place at 7:00 pm.
