Summer Fun at Esslingen’s Merkelpark! ☀️ Summer is just around the corner—and we can’t wait to bring the beautiful, historic Merkelpark back to life! Look forward to a colorful series of events from mid-July through September! Instead of just one weekend, this year we’re celebrating summer flexibly and regardless of the weather, whenever the pop-up bar “fuenfbisneun” is open:

Starting July 12, the Feierabendkollektiv will be performing at Merkelpark every Sunday from 5–7 p.m. with the finest summer singer-songwriter concerts.

You can look forward to a diverse program in a relaxed park atmosphere.

This duo from Tübingen moves audiences with their guitar and vocals, performing both original songs and fresh takes on some of music history’s greatest hits. Their music centers on the themes of life, with all its ups and downs. Whether it’s melancholic harmonies or a swinging sound—SCCS gives every piece a unique sound that invites you to dream. Their first album, “Stone, Sand & Clay,” was released in 2025.

Singer and guitarist Esther Aleida brings her music to the stage with palpable energy and expressiveness—an enchanting blend of folk singer-songwriter, world music, and a healthy dose of improvisation. With rich rhythms and layered structures, she takes her audience on a musical journey through mysterious stories, unexpected twists, and modern fairy tales.
