The Nebula Chor e.V. Cologne invites TINAQ* people to a three-hour choir event.
Do you want to explore your voice - in a room that sees you?
Do you want to connect musically with other trans*queer people?
You want to sing - but are still unsure how committed you can/will be?
Who are we?
The trans*queer ONE DAY CHOIR is an open choir format for TINAQ* people
(trans, inter, non-binary, agender, and questioning).
The focus is on your voice, your identity - and what happens when we sound together.
Please contact us by email if you would like to take part: info@tq-chor-koeln.de
What will we sing?
We will sing "Agender" by Brave James - newly arranged, with room for improvisation and your own voice.
We are not about performances or perfection. It doesn't matter whether you have years of choir experience or have never sung a note before.
There is no pressure during rehearsals: everything we do is an invitation.
The format is self-contained, so you are just as welcome whether you are only joining us this one time or would like to sing with us for longer.
Accessibility
We want to enable TINAQ* people to discover their voices and experience community.
Therefore, participation is free of charge.
When you register, we will send you a room profile containing important information on accessibility.
Do you have other access needs?
Feel free to write to us about your access needs (access needs: something a person needs to communicate, learn and participate in an activity). This could be, for example
We strive to break down as many barriers as possible.
English
The One-Day-Choir session on July 26 will primarily be held in German. However, participants who are more comfortable communicating in English are very welcome to join!
While the session won't be fully bilingual, we're happy to support understanding through whisper translations (e.g. by a fellow choir member) and occasional clarifying questions in English.
Also, please feel free to let us know if you have any other access needs. We want to know what would help you feel more at ease during the session. We are committed to providing as much accessibility as possible.
