OPEN AIR DAY RAVE IN LEIPZIG -WEST

This time, Café Gold is bringing its very own vibe to Leutzsch - to a secluded private area in Rathenaustraße. Instead of cramped club rooms, an open-air setting awaits with shady spots, small retreats, flea market stalls and plenty of space to dance.

Between midday and evening, the atmosphere is more like a spontaneous summer's day with friends than a classic large-scale event. Children run around in the playground, indie or hip-hop is playing somewhere and later the first electronic beats roll across the grounds.

The event starts at 12 noon - with a flea market, a relaxed arrival and the day's program. If you feel like browsing, you can stroll between the stalls until 4 pm while the music slowly gets louder on the grounds.

Later, a total of seven DJs will take over the musical program. There will also be live performances and vegan/vegetarian food for anyone who gets hungry between dancing and soaking up the summer sun.

And because the end of June in Leipzig can be anything between a "perfect summer day" and a "complete heat battle", we've also thought of that: a water shower will cool you down in between.

Behind the musical vibes of the Day Rave is the Leipzig collective "Kantine - Suburban Music Culture", which consciously combines electronic music with social aspirations. Instead of elitist club culture or rigid scene codes, the project focuses on openness, accessibility and spaces in which a wide variety of people can come together.

Musically, the collective moves between deep house, indie dance, EBM, wave and hypnotic techno - combined with experimental approaches, art actions and participatory formats. It's never just about the next DJ set moment, but always about the question of how subculture in Leipzig can be made more accessible, communal and free.
