In the organizer's words:
Open-Air Festival
featuring Farewell Spit, MÄNNI, Sinnfrei, and Datenschmutz
Doors open: 5:00 p.m.
Datenschmutz
Punk pop—quiet, emotionally dead, and willing to compromise. Datenschmutz leave pop-punk right where it belongs! They deliver calculated apathy, outdated sounds, and subtle emotional flourishes. Anyone who loves music ranging from Joyce Manor to Turnstile will realize: This has absolutely nothing to do with that!
Farewell Spit
speaks for all those who feel lost in a world full of challenges. In painful times marked by anger and despair, their music envelops the soul with comfort and joy. Each song tells an emotionally charged story of the ceaseless urge for change, self-discovery, and standing up for oneself. The blend of rock, pop-infused electronic elements, and metal sounds reflects the ups and downs of life and reveals the infinite diversity of our human experiences. The melodic vocals not only convey the lyrics but also deepen the emotional message beyond the limits of words.
MÄNNI
German-language punk rock with plenty of melancholy and wit. Sometimes profound, often political—a rough voice with a soft core. Songs about the joy of failure and the urge to change everything, for everyone who’s also struggling to cope and can relate to dirt, trash, and chaos on a night of heavy drinking. Rough, snotty, sensitive. Live, Samuel “Männi” Dickmeis’s solo project transforms into a four-piece powerhouse with more than 200 concerts at genre-specific festivals (RUHRPOTT RODEO, VISBEK ROCKT, PELL-MELL, RESIST TO EXIST, HEIMATZOO), and as a support act (WIZO, BETONTOD, SLIME, TERRORGRUPPE, ABSTÜRZENDE BRIEFTAUBEN, DREI METERFELDWEG, ZEBRAHEAD, THE TOTEN CRACKHUREN IM KOFFERRAUM) and their own headlining shows.
Nonsense
How can brass instruments and punk, skanking and moshing, the index finger and the middle finger, profundity and nonsense, or beer and wine possibly go together!? …
… and BAM—it all makes sense after all. Because with Sinnfrei, opposites attract!
The six guys from Düsseldorf pull off a unique musical balancing act blending punk, offbeat, and rock ’n’ roll elements, paired with catchy horn arrangements and vocal melodies that’ll get everyone’s feet moving.
Watch out for SINNFREI! Watch out for an earworm!
