In the organizer's words:
"When I close my eyes and let myself go, I'm there again. On one of those endless summer days when the air shimmers and my friends call out to me from the riverbank." "Countless Feelings But So Few Words" - orbit's debut album - begins with this memory. After half a decade full of stories, experiences and encounters, Marcel Heym aka orbit released his long-awaited first album in November 2025 and is now bringing it to the stages of this world.
The album brings the nostalgic coming-of-age narrative that orbit began in 2020 with Perspectives to an emotional conclusion. Countless Feelings But So Few Words is a look back at a symbolically ending "long summer", a personal reflection on growing up and a farewell to a certain attitude to life that has shaped the young musician's art up to now. orbit looks back on an era that has seen him and his friends draw ever wider circles: From rural northern Germany, across Europe to the legendary Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert.
Five years have passed since the now 30-year-old producer Marcel launched the orbit project. In his early twenties, he moved to Berlin and began working there as a music producer. But the noise of big city life didn't bring him what he was looking for. He returned to his home town, back to the Weser, to nature, to his circle of friends. Here he finds peace and artistic freedom. The result is a project that is allowed to grow organically without being rushed. And that's exactly how it sounds: with a soundscape of intimate acoustic sounds, dreamy, distorted vocals and atmospheric synths, orbit has found a way to express inner dream worlds and combine them with impressions from the small town. Since songs such as "Perspectives" and "Friday Night" have attracted worldwide attention, orbit's cosmos has grown cautiously but significantly.
Marcel's friendship with the artist Parra For Cuva enabled him to go on his first support tour in the USA in 2024, followed by a tour as opener for Ben Böhmer. orbit now takes place on international tours and festivals and at the same time tries to maintain close contact with the community. This collective idea has been an integral part of the project since the beginning of the journey - from organizing small shows to self-designed merch.
This approach developed over time and led to a new highlight in 2024: DIY shows in Mexico, coordinated together with friends from the orbit community - partly via FaceTime and with people previously only known from Instagram chats. orbit combines "mindfulness" and "adventure" and, even with international success, remains a heart project with DIY at its core: with self-built stage sets, handmade merch and self-produced music videos. After an almost completely sold-out first leg of the European tour in winter 2025, Marcel and his friends are back on the road this year. With a band that has been expanded to a trio and an as always magical stage design - inspired by the rural idyll of his home country - orbit allows you to immerse yourself in his dream worlds. After headline shows in London, Paris, Oslo, Berlin, Cologne, Paris and Prague, among others, further shows in the USA and Mexico will follow this year.

The "Fenster Zum Hof"-Open Air - Mainz is a concert format in the courtyard of the Landesmuseum Mainz, where the independent concert agency Musikmaschine presents mainly German bands and live acts from the fields of indie, pop, rock, electro, folk, hip-hop and singer-songwriters who are beyond newcomer status. These headliners are combined with the best up-and-coming artists from Rhineland-Palatinate. As a platform for young, sophisticated live music, which is all about innovative musical entertainment at a high level, the FzH shows anew every year: music history is not repeated here, but something new is created. The booked artists do not turn a blind eye, but spread hope and optimism, especially in view of the unfortunately very difficult realities at the moment. And when the music machine transforms the inner courtyard into a festival area, the following always applies: dancing is always possible! Mine, Kapelle Petra, Die Sterne, Peter Licht, Die höchste Eisenbahn, Wallis Bird, Jeremias, Mayberg, Enno Bunger, The Gardener & The Tree, Blackout Problems, Chefket, Dota, Kytes and Jupiter Jones have played at FzH and the concert agency's aim remains to offer innovative and independent live music every summer in the most beautiful venue in the media and university city of Mainz. The FzH format started under the impression of the first lockdown in 2020 as a streaming show in the cultural location "Altes Postlager" in Mainz. It was then continued as a spontaneously improvised open air in the courtyard of the Landesmuseum and has since established itself as an annual concert series. This year's edition offers twelve dates between July 24 and August 23, 2026.
