Orgelkonzert Roberto Marini
In the organizer's words:
Max Reger specialist Roberto Marini is coming to Nuremberg!🎼
In early September, we’re very much looking forward to welcoming this internationally renowned organist, who once performed Reger’s entire organ oeuvre within a single year and recorded it in a highly acclaimed complete recording. 🎶
On the program: Reubke’s monumental Sonata on Psalm 94, Psalm, Bach’s famous, moving Ciaccona in an arrangement for organ, Liszt’s impressive Funérailles in Marini’s own organ arrangement, and, as the grand finale, Reger’s magnificent Fantasy and Fugue on B-A-C-H.
BIOGRAPHY: R. Marini is one of the outstanding organists of his generation—a virtuoso with a profound musical understanding and a special affinity for the Romantic, Late Romantic, and Modern repertoires. He gained widespread international recognition in 2002 with the complete performance of Max Reger’s organ works in 16 recitals, supported by the German Embassy, the Max Reger Institute, and the Italian Bishops’ Conference. As early as 1996, he had already performed the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach. He is also distinguished by his exceptional skill in improvisation. Born in Teramo, Marini began his training in Rome with F. Germani and graduated with top honors from the “A. Casella” Conservatory in L’Aquila, where he studied organ and composition. In 1994, he received the prestigious “Premier prix de virtuosité d’Orgue” from the Geneva Conservatory. In addition to his musical career, he earned a degree in law. As a prize winner in several competitions, Marini has maintained an active international concert career for many years, leads master classes, and regularly serves as a juror. His CD recordings have been highly praised by leading music magazines; his body of work also includes recordings for Vatican Radio and RAI.
