In the organizer's words:

Next-Gen Organ🔥We’re excited to welcome Norwegian organist Victoria Ulriksen (b. 2006): She studied in Leipzig and Oslo and has performed at Westminster Abbey, Oslo Cathedral, and the Salzburg Festival. She appeared on “Norske Talenter,” similar to the German show “Das Supertalent.” At St. Lorenz Church, she’ll present a program ranging from symphonic power to quiet moments on one of the world’s largest organs—featuring music by Wagner (“Ride of the Valkyries”), Reger, Mendelssohn, Walther/Vivaldi, Grieg, and Messiaen. A true highlight—don’t miss it!

BIOGRAPHY Victoria Ulriksen (born 2006) is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in organ at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater under Prof. Dr. Martin Schmeding, while simultaneously studying church music for her bachelor’s degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music under Prof. Kåre Nordstoga. She also studies fortepiano and modern piano with Professor Emerita Liv Glaser. She has received numerous awards at competitions both in Germany and abroad, including first prize in the finals of the Youth Music Competitions and the Audience Prize at the 2023 International Maria Hofer Organ Competition. She has also received grants and scholarships from the Jansons Foundation, the Tom Wilhelmsen Foundation, and the Fegersten Foundation. Victoria has performed at numerous festivals, including the Oslo International Church Music Festival, the Bergen International Organ Festival, the International Organ Summer in Karlsruhe, the Festival Internacional de Órgão e Música Sacra, and the Nordic Church Music Festival. She was also selected by Olivier Latry to perform on the famous organ at St. Bavo’s Church during last summer’s International Organ Festival in Haarlem. In addition, she has performed four times as part of the Salzburg Festival.
