ÖZGE INAN Lesung & Gespräch: Die Dichterin (Piper, 2026)
In the organizer's words:
In the new novel by journalist, author and legal scholar Özge Inan, the literary public itself becomes the setting: Emma Rodenstock is a phenomenon; critics, talk shows and the public are all over the young poet from the lower classes. She gives a face to the debate about classism and privilege. Until Nazanin Esfahani, an aspiring journalist, finds an inconsistency in her story. Very soon, a second poet appears who claims to have written Emma's texts. Can this be true? It would be a real scandal. Inan exposes the power of stories in times of the attention economy in a way that is as highly entertaining as it is astute.
