Palais Sommer Festival: Piano Night I Gahyeon Joo (KOR) + Livepainting: Karen Koschnik (DE) I Free admission
Gahyeon Joo was born in South Korea and began playing the piano at the age of seven. She graduated from Gyeongbuk Arts High School and completed her bachelor's degree in piano at Kyungpook National University as the best student of her year. She has been artistically active in various projects and concerts.
The musical program will be accompanied by Karen Koschnik, who will express the sounds of the concert in pictures as part of an artistic performance.
"My paintings arise from the fascinating palette of the world around us, artistically shaped by human creativity, in dialog with the innermost part of myself."
The painter and graphic artist Karen Koschnick studied at the HfbK Dresden (1998 - 2004).
The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.
In 2026, the Palais Sommer will take place on Dresden's Neumarkt from June 20 to July 26. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
Sun loungers and tables can be reserved in advance.
