PANEL: New Voices, New Forms – The African Documentary Today
In the organizer's words:
PANEL: New Voices, New Forms – The African Documentary Today
What does it mean to make documentary films in Africa today? And what can documentary storytelling achieve that feature films cannot? This panel brings together three filmmakers whose work is united by a common goal: to make reality visible—using very different cinematic means. Together, they represent a new generation of African documentary filmmakers who are challenging traditional narrative forms and developing new cinematic languages. Their works are formally experimental, politically engaged, and deeply personal. A panel discussion on cinematic forms, artistic freedom, and the future of African documentary film.
