PANORAMA - Kabinett der Sinne

Kabinett der Sinne is no ordinary concert: it is more reminiscent of a visit to an art exhibition, with the works presented as a kind of installation scattered around the room. The audience gets in the mood for the concert with bloody red drinks, can move freely around the room and sit on velvet cushions as they wish - in a sense, an experience with all the senses that the listeners can shape for themselves and whose focus is nonetheless the music.

Under the direction of Yorgos Ziavras, the ÉRMA Ensemble presents a varied program of contemporary music: the focus is on Unsuk Chin's early fairytale-like masterpiece "Akrostichon-Wortspiel" with Penny Sofroniadou in the virtuoso soprano part. In addition, the ensemble members present themselves in various combinations and also appear as soloists.

Kabinett der Sinne marks the start of the ensemble's newly designed Panorama concert series, in which ÉRMA focuses on combining rarely performed repertoire with masterpieces of new music and presenting contemporary music in all its facets.
