Lilian Steiner (Jodie Foster), an American, has been living in Paris for many years. There, she has earned an excellent reputation as a smart, empathetic therapist. When her patient Paula (Virginie Efira) is found dead, Lilian’s orderly life is thrown into disarray. The police quickly close the case as a suicide. But Lilian has her doubts.
