Patrice Rushen:The musician, composer and pop culture icon is coming to Germany for the first time.

Patrice Rushen is an American R&B singer, composer and jazz pianist from L.A. She combines elements of soul, R&B, funk, disco and jazz in her music .Her two biggest hits "Haven't You Heard" and "Forget Me Nots" are known to us all as classics of pop culture. Will Smith used "Forget Me Nots" for "Men In Black" in 1997 and numerous other artists have also used Rushen's compositions. Her songs have been sampled by Mary J. Blige, George Michael and Mobb Deep, among others. Over the years, Patrice Rushen has been rediscovered and reinterpreted by every generation.

Patrice has also had a great and influential career as a pianist, singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer. Without her, Prince's debut album might never have been completed. She was the musical director of Janet Jackson's world tour and was the first woman to be the musical director of the Grammy Awards. Over the course of her career, she has worked with many renowned musicians, including Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Prince and Nancy Wilson.

It's hard to believe that she is only now coming to Germany for the first time and only for three exclusive concerts (Berlin, Rheingau-Musik-Fest, Kultursommer Oldenburg) with her band!
