In the organizer's words:
Between megalomania and grimness, politics and the private sphere, humor, melancholy and anger, Paul Sies dares to go where it hurts with his songs. Always full of relish, never cynical - but you will be spared elsewhere. Paul's melancholy murder ballads meander along the streets of Nick Cave's neighborhood, shine through the darkest paths of German singer-songwriters of the 70s, stroll like chansoniers on paths of even earlier days. However, he always dresses up the deeply sad in crazy costumes: his songs are bursting with originality and charm and sadness and consolation. Someone here has not the slightest desire to sell himself.
His single "Auch in der Nazizeit war Spargelzeit" went viral within a very short time - and rightly so. It touches, it hurts a lot and, in the best case, it also achieves something. A rare trifecta that is only reserved for really good and special songs. A new album will be released at the beginning of 2027 and Paul Sies will be embarking on his first major tour of Germany to mark the occasion.
