What happens when you combine indie with electronic music? PaulWetz does just that and combines his singer-songwriter skills with electronic influences to create a melancholic-melodic vibe that is charmingly unparalleled. The newcomer was born in Pforzheim and came into contact with music at an early age. Growing up in the 2000s with MTViva, emo-punk and Red Hot Chili Peppers, PaulWetz starts making his own guitar out of plywood. He loves Nirvana instead of sheet music and screams his head off to his own songs. At first alone, then with a band. In the meantime PaulWetz worked in a call center and tried out different voices and personas during the phone calls. Now you can find these personalities in his clips. This proves real entertainer qualities. In parallel, he produced and wrote with and for none other than Milky Chance, Sina Seiner and Evaporate. The short clips become whole songs. Unadorned and direct Paul Wetz brings his music from his head to the audience. Smoothe synths, playful basses, casual drums and on top of it pointed and at the same time poetic lyrics in which PaulWetz describes his thoughts, feelings and experienced moments.
