Petit Goro was the first musician to adapt the traditional Dogon rhythms for a young, modern audience, indeed he is the first Dogon pop star ever. Everywhere in Bamako you can see young people proudly wearing their traditional Dogon costumes. Petit Goro, however, carries their message out into the world, rocking archaic traditions with a never-before-heard Dogon blues His new album was released on Trikont in May.
