The Physical Fetz Symposium offers exchange and further education formats for professional movement artists and specialist audiences. In the afternoon, there will be a talk format on the topic of barrier reduction in the independent performing arts and a practical workshop on artistic creation. Artists from the Physical Theatre Network will present short pieces, work-in-progress pieces and miniatures. This will be followed by a structured feedback format that offers space for exchange, networking and reflection on artistic means and processes.
16:30-18:30: Physical theater workshop/training "animal works"
Physical artist Lucy Flournoy offers a practical movement workshop from the craft spectrum of physical theater. In "animal works" we explore the animal body as a source of inspiration for artistic creation. The physical embodiment of animals provides a rich basis for the development of acting characters as well as for more abstract or dance movement languages. The workshop is aimed at professional and semi-professional performing artists.
