Once more to the moon and back - after last year's acclaimed premiere, this special production returns to the stage. And just like the first time, this journey is no ordinary one. Pink Floyd's legendary album "The Dark Side of the Moon" will be performed live in full length - intense, detailed and close to the original.
This time, however, the journey takes us a little further through the Pink Floyd universe: the show will be supplemented by selected songs from "Wish You Were Here" and "The Wall" - iconic pieces that add additional emotional heights to the evening.
The starting point for this international project is the encounter between the drummer Matthias "Meff" Schimetzek-Nilius from Halle and the Italian Pink Floyd cover band Lysergic Dream. This gave rise to the idea of bringing this music to the stage together - driven by respect, passion and the desire to bring the magic of these songs to life live.
Luca Di Pillo (keyboards), Luigi Di Loreto (bass) and Matteo Antomarchi (guitar) are also on stage. From Halle, Torsten Volkmann (saxophone), Jörg Hündorf (Hammond organ) and the singers Tila Brea, Annika Doherty and Chris Jeenel complete the ensemble. Leipzig-based blues rocker Tino Standhaft will lead the evening as guitarist and frontman.
