Concert as part of the KlangART Vision Festival with the Ensemble Avantgarde and soprano Julia Wagner

The KlangART Vision Festival is committed to contemporary music and focuses on musical creation in Saxony-Anhalt. However, the festival is not committed to any one genre or location, but rather aims to "build bridges", open up new spaces for music and facilitate unusual encounters between musicians and their audiences. For a diverse audience with young talents, artists from the region and internationally renowned ensembles.

The Ensemble Avantgarde is an association of Leipzig musicians dedicated to the performance of 20th and 21st century music. Since its foundation in 1989, the ensemble has been working under the artistic and organizational direction of the Leipzig pianist and composer Steffen Schleiermacher in a changing line-up. The members of the "Ensemble Avantgarde" are mainly musicians from the Gewandhaus Orchestra and the MDR Symphony Orchestra.

Julia Sophie Wagner is characterized by an extraordinary vocal and stylistic range. Her repertoire ranges from baroque music to great works of the romantic period. The soprano regularly performs with the Leipzig St. Thomas Choir and renowned original sound ensembles.
