Back to the roots—and we mean it! At thePink Pixel Retro Party on August 15, 2026,we’re bringing the cornerstone of gaming history straight out of the basement and onto the biggest and boldest screen in town. 

It’s the game that started it all. Two bars, a “PIXEL ball,” and pure excitement. Born in the darkest, smokiest arcades of the ’70s and ’80s, Tele Tennis—sometimes called PONG—is the forefather of all video games. Just you, your opponent, two joysticks (known as “paddles of death”), and the sheer gravity of the pixel.

For the very first time ever, we’re hosting theTELE TENNIS CUPright in the epic setting of the Film Nights on the banks of the Elbe. Gaming against the backdrop of the world’s best Baroque skyline. Epic rallies, dramatic misses, and hype levels off the charts. 

To make sure the atmosphere doesn’t just boil over but completely explodes, we’ve got two absolute legends hosting:Falk Töpfer & “Käpt’n Tobi”!The two of them will provide live commentary on the spectacle, celebrate every pixel hit, and really fire you up with their banter. 

Whether you’re a natural talent, just spinning the joystick like crazy, or simply celebrating the aesthetics—we want to see YOU at the console! 

There will also be aTOTO FIX Ice Hockey Cup. Games will be played on 4–6 mechanical Totofix ice hockey machines. The retro team game“BOMBERMAN”on the 30-square-meter LED screen will provide excitement and retro fun. 

RETRO SUPER DISCO! 

The Retro Super Party will take place at the same time in the covered area of the Film Nights. 

DJ PIXELBERTO aka Electroberto, son of the pixel generation, is putting together a record mix and modern revival featuringretro house tunes, nu disco, and ’80s and ’90s house vibes…. A tasteful, highly danceable odyssey through the good-natured party potential of contemporary consumer capitalism.
