It could have been nice: After the scene fought its way through the pandemic and a lot of networking and structural work was made possible, Munich's independent scene is waking up with a hangover: The implementation of the painstakingly developed new funding model is paralyzed, the Jutier- und Tonnenhalle is being planned without taking the needs of the scene into account, spaces are becoming scarce and funding could now also be cut in the independent performing arts. So how can we carry on and not lose heart? What strengths can the independent performing arts community focus on and what alliances need to be forged?
