On the last day of the exhibition, KW invites artist Juliana Cerqueira Leite and space architect Dr. Barbara Imhof to a conversation based on the artist's engagement with SHEE, the so-called Self-deploying Habitat for Extreme Environments. SHEE is a housing system that was developed by 7 partners as part of an EU project. Imhof was involved in the development with her company LIQUIFER. The discussion will focus on the intersection of new technologies, spatial design and human life.

As part of the exhibition Poetics of Encryption at KW, Leite's central sculpture explores the relationship between her own body and the SHEE architecture through a body-casting performance within a 1:1 model of the system.

Juliana Cerqueira Leite (* 1981, Yolanda) graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art, London in 2006 as the first winner of the Kenneth Armitage Sculpture Prize. In 2019 she received the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant for her exhibition Orogenesis at the National Archaeological Museum in Naples, Italy. In 2016 she was awarded the Furla Art Prize for her contribution to the 5th Moscow Biennale of Young Art.
