Margarita Höhenrieder plays the work "Stilla" by Hjálmar Ragnarsson, which was composed especially for this performance (and the left hand). In the synchronized performance, Bernd Zimmer paints live to the music. The painting will then be auctioned off and part of the proceeds will be donated.

The artists

Margarita Höhenrieder has performed as a soloist with conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, Claudio Abbado and James Levine. At the age of 28, she became Germany's youngest piano professor at the Würzburg University of Music. She has been a professor at the Munich University of Music since 1991.

Bernd Zimmer was co-founder of the Berlin gallery Galerie am Moritzplatz, founded in 1977, and is a representative of "Heftige Malerei". His often large-format paintings initially focus on nature in deliberate contrast to the big city. With STOA169, which opened in 2021, Bernd Zimmer's idea of a cross-cultural work of art in the midst of nature has become a reality.
