Will the Wolf’s Lair be remembered as the site of Stauffenberg’s assassination attempt, or as the headquarters from which Hitler directed his policies of war and extermination? How is Stauffenberg’s involvement in the German invasion of Poland in 1939 interpreted? Renowned historian Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Ruchniewicz will present Polish perspectives in his lecture on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Haus der Geschichte and contextualize them within current Polish debates.
