In Prague, art, culture, and architecture come together to create a unique experience. Since 1992, the city on the Vltava River has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the Middle Ages through the Renaissance and Baroque periods to Historicism, Prague boasts masterpieces from every architectural era. Art Nouveau from around 1900 is also particularly significant, as the city developed into one of Europe’s most important centers. For the 20th and 21st centuries, we find examples of “Prague Cubism”—of which there are only a few—as well as Modernism and Deconstructivism.
