Heaven's Gate: A case for Caruso
After months of bittersweet idleness on the Philippine island of Surogao, Caruso, a former German professional surfer and private detective, is in deep trouble. Daniel Faßbender was a sailor, would like to be a professional surfer and earns his living in a TV newsroom. He studied literature, politics and history. In 2018, his debut novel 'Die weltbeste Geschichte vom Fallen' was longlisted for the Blogbuster Literature Prize. With 'Heaven's Gate' he was a scholarship holder of the 1:1 mentoring program of the Literaturbüro NRW and the Literaturhaus Bonn. He lives in Cologne.
