Pretty Privileged- The Empress's New Clothes

A theater experience for teenagers aged 15 and over and young adults

How much pressure can a person withstand when they have to be strong, beautiful, successful and conformist at the same time? And who actually decides what is "right"?

Empress Antonia works hard and looks dazzling. But competition is growing and her fame is fading. A new dress changes everything!

Alten/Thies invite the fictitious band THE GAUKLERS to a concert that turns out to be a multi-layered theater performance. While THE GAUKLERS criticize power structures and stereotypical gender attributions, they themselves are increasingly caught up in their own prejudices. The narrative levels begin to blur, the audience becomes actively involved in the action - until finally all role models fall with the clothes.
