Spirited Heidi lives with her grumpy grandfather Alm-Öhi in a secluded mountain hut in the Swiss Alps. But the discovery of a lonely and injured lynx kitten changes her plans: the lynx cub urgently needs to return to its family in the mountains! Without Grandpa's knowledge, Heidi lovingly takes care of her new little friend. If only it weren't for the money-hungry businessman Schnaittinger, who wants to build a large sawmill in the beautiful mountain landscape and has set traps for the lynxes. Now it's up to Heidi and her best friend Peter to save not only the cute lynx cub and his family, but also the village community and the local nature that she loves so much.
