In the organizer's words:

Klara Hens and Amelie Schoo are organizing the first project choir in Cologne and have chosen a global musical phenomenon for it: K-Pop! A genre that is popular all over the world but has hardly been represented in the German choir scene so far. Korean pop music combines polyphonic singing with rap, dance and fashion. Whether you are already part of the huge fan community or not: sing along in Cologne's first project choir!

We rehearse once a month and work on a repertoire of 7-8 songs, which we sing in English, in six two-hour rehearsal sessions from March to August . Sheet music, practice files and videos are available in advance. So you can learn your voices at home. In the face-to-face rehearsals, we focus on sound, ensemble work and community. You must take part in at least 4 out of 6 rehearsals in order to be on stage at the concert in August.

The Cologne Project Choir explicitly invites all genders and all generations to sing along!

The rehearsals will take place at the Quäker Nachbarschaftsheim in Ehrenfeld. The concert will take place on August 8 or 9 (tba).

Price information:

The regular price for participation in the project choir is €90. There are reduced tickets for 60€ and solo tickets for 120€. It is also possible to support the project without participating by purchasing support tickets.
