Audiovisual exhibition on violence at the Bosnian-Croatian border

As part of the International Weeks against Racism 2026, the audiovisual exhibition "PUSHBACK" will be shown at the KFZ Marburg from July 1 to 5. Recordings and objects from the Bosnian-Croatian border make it possible to experience what is behind the bad word of the year 2021: the often brutal pushback of people seeking protection by masked and armed border guards in violation of international law - without examining the reasons for fleeing and without the possibility of applying for asylum.

The exhibition deliberately counters the debate about numbers, measures and payment cards with the perspective of those affected and asks: What does this border look like? What does it sound like? What does it mean for the people who are repeatedly turned back there?
