Queens & Flowers

A new, late summer cultural event is casting its shadow ahead: on August 31, 2024, "Queens & Flowers", the drag summer festival in the green southwest of Berlin, will take place for the first time from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. In the open-air spaces around the greenhouses of the Botanical Garden, floral splendor and drag art will merge into a celebration of queer culture for all those who care about diversity.

The event is organized by Place2Be Berlin, the queer tourism and event platform of the queer city magazine SIEGESSÄULE, in cooperation with the Botanical Garden Berlin, sponsored and supported by the Steglitz-Zehlendorf Economic Development Agency, the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises and visitBerlin.

For families :
In the afternoon (from 15:15) there will be special family tours in the greenhouses and workshops (painting with plant colors) for kids.

Advance booking

To ensure that all guests have a relaxed experience and that the Botanic Garden's listed grounds remain as beautiful as they are, the number of tickets per hour is limited. Guests select their desired hourly admission time online (there is no time limit). On the day of the event, (remaining) tickets are also available at the ticket offices of the Botanic Garden - from 09:00 to 20:00. Online ticket sales run until 8 p.m. at the latest.
