🌈 Love. Life. Diversity. - Let's talk about it.
- Panel discussion during Pride Month
At the panel "Queer and wanting children? Yes, it's possible!" we will talk about ways to become a rainbow family, personal experiences, legal hurdles and necessary changes. Come along, listen and bring your questions - open to all
More and more queer people want a family. But the path to this goal is often fraught with legal hurdles, social prejudices and many unanswered questions. As part of Pride Month, a public panel discussion invites you to talk about paths to a rainbow family, personal experiences and necessary political changes.
We will discuss different perspectives: Nils Berthold, a gay part-time father, will talk about his personal journey and a queer mother about her everyday family life. The panel will be complemented by Caro Schulze from the Rat und Tat advice center, which advises people on all aspects of having children and starting a family - including trans* and non-binary people and other discussion partners.
The focus will be on questions such as:
What paths to starting a family are there for queer people?
Where do legal inequalities still exist?
And what does it take for diverse families to be recognized as a matter of course?
But also very practical questions, such as:
What is the cup method? will be answered on this evening.
The event is explicitly aimed at all interested parties - regardless of sexual orientation or lifestyle.
After the moderated discussion, there will be room for questions from the audience and an open atmosphere for discussion.
