Double bass, piano, and guitar—with accents from congas and vibraphone—provide the sounds that the trio combines in various ways with their changing lineup. Accompanied by vocals, the music tells stories of the first moon rockets, exotic drinks, or the magic of sunrise at the end of a night spent dancing.

Their musicality and virtuosity were not shaped by renowned music schools or conservatories, but exclusively by a lifelong obsession with the music of a bygone era—and by the school of hundreds of gigs all over the world. Usually performing in larger ensembles—with Cat Lee King and his Cocks and Ray Collins’ HOT-CLUB—the three of them strike a much quieter note here, and the trio’s streamlined format leaves plenty of room for improvisation and a deep love for musical detail.
