Reema - Mimi Müller-Westernhagen - Ensemble Konzert

The Reema project is the musical return of musician Sarah Reema Müller-Westernhagen to her origins: writing and performing highly emotional and poetic songs, whose emotionality is enhanced by the arrangements of her musical companion Stefan Baumann.

The special blend of singer-songwriter folk and chamber music will be brought to the stage on this evening with a mixed wind ensemble.

Sarah Reema Müller-Westernhagen was born in London near Shepherds Bush and is the daughter of actress Polly Eltes and musician Marius Müller-Westernhagen. Reema grew up with her mother and came into contact with well-known musicians and creative people at an early age. Influenced by this creative environment, she began writing and performing her own music at the age of seven. At 17, she founded the post-punk band "Battlekat" together with friends. With her band "Mimi and the Mad Noise Factory", she released two albums on a major label between 2011 and 2014 and was based in Hamburg and Berlin during this time.

She now lives in England again and the "Reema" project is a musical return to her origins: writing and performing highly emotional and poetic songs that deal honestly and unfiltered with the experiences of a life and career path that has been anything but straightforward. Together with bass clarinettist, arranger and producer Stefan Baumann, she produced and released the EPs "Lioness" (2020) and "Rooftops & Riversides" (2022). The arrangements of the trained orchestrator Baumann enhance the emotionality of Reema's songs and give her music an extraordinary depth and sonority.

In this concert, Reema presents her music together with a mixed wind ensemble consisting of musicians from the Bavarian State Youth Jazz Orchestra, among others, in an extraordinary chamber music setting.

The evening will open with a set by singer-songwriter Sarah Pedros - the newcomer from Stephanie Pedros Management will celebrate her stage debut and present her sensitive, emotional pop songs to the audience for the first time.
