RIAN is on a roll—from newcomer to platinum indie pop star, AMADEUS Award winner, and live performance sensation: The Austrian musician and entertainer is in heavy rotation on major radio stations and is selling out one tour after another—with venues getting bigger and bigger! Now, the successful artist—known for his charming and clever German lyrics—has announced his debut album “Blumendisko” and confirmed another tour for November 2026. Just over two years ago, RIAN was still a—albeit highly touted—newcomer who was making a name for himself with his first songs in German. “Schwarzes Schaf” went viral in 2023 and offered a taste of the indie artist’s breakthrough, as he scores points everywhere with his contemporary and unembarrassing mainstream appeal.

And: RIAN is anything but a one-hit wonder! His German-language indie pop, combined with clever comedy and socio-political relevance for a good cause—danceable from the get-go, yet deep, (self-)critical, and always empathetic—has delivered a rapid succession of highly successful singles. The pop formula—from the feet through the heart to the head—has rarely felt so spot-on.

In 2024, RIAN scored a veritable hit with “Verwandtschaftstreffen” from the EP of the same name: It reached No. 1 on the Austrian Shazam charts, the Austria Viral Charts, and the Ö3 Austro Charts. The song was certified gold and platinum in Austria, is in heavy rotation on the biggest radio stations, has over 37 million streams, and won an incredible three Amadeus Austrian Music Awards in 2025!

On the tour promoting the EP, the hit—but above all his reputation as an excellent live entertainer—garnered him sold-out shows: Following a completely sold-out “Verwandtschaftstreffen Tour 2025” —all German dates were completely sold out, including rescheduled shows and additional performances—and a tour finale in Vienna with over 3,000 fans, more sold-out announcements followed for the spring ’26 tour.

To cap off the sold-out run of his mega tour in 2026, RIAN even announced an additional show for May at the Mühle Hunziken in Rubingen, Switzerland, followed by a packed festival schedule for the summer—including, among others, the Open Air Kulturinsel Wöhrmühle in Erlangen, which has already been confirmed.

To coincide with the tour’s kickoff in February/March—which will take RIAN to a different city in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland almost every day for over two weeks—the Austrian artist’s first album, “BLUMENDISKO,” will finally be released—and, of course, it’s also available on vinyl—and is already open for pre-order!
