But the good news almost got lost in the shuffle: Even with *Himmelfahrt* and the 2023 tour, the band had drawn new strength from the feedback of fans and critics and was ready to open another chapter. SCHANDMAUL – back in action after a forced hiatus!

The German folk-rock pioneers are embarking on an extensive festival tour. After a hiatus of over a year—necessitated by singer Thomas Lindner’s illness—the band is finally back on the road in 2025 and can be seen on numerous stages across the country. Thanks to the active support of Till Herence, the musicians have gained a top-notch addition on vocals until Lindner’s voice has fully recovered.

SCHANDMAUL will thrill audiences with a live set drawing from a band history spanning over 26 years and a repertoire now comprising eleven studio albums. Since the release of their debut album, *Wahre Helden*, in 1999, the Munich-based band has been a guarantee of top-notch, sophisticated folk rock full of exciting, captivating stories, performed with genre-typical instruments such as bagpipes, hurdy-gurdies, and folk flutes.

With seven albums reaching the top 10 on the German charts (including the #1 album *Leuchtfeuer* in 2016, as well as *Unendlich* in 2014 and *Artus* at #2 in 2019), two Echo Award nominations, gold certification for *Traumtänzer* (2011) and *Unendlich* (2014), successful tours, and appearances at numerous festivals—such as the Wave Gotik Treffen, M’era Luna, and the legendary Wacken Open Air, as well as millions of streams on digital platforms, SCHANDMAUL have worked their way to the top of the folk rock scene.
