Rising Stars: Sean Shibe

He traverses infinite worlds of sound, always inviting listeners to discover something new. When it is said about him: "Brazen and radical", then this is without exception meant as a compliment. Sean Shibe already belongs to the future among guitarists.

His mother used to walk past a store selling stringed instruments until one day there was a guitar hanging in the window. With that, the decision for his instrument was made: As the youngest musician ever, Sean Shibe then studied at the Royal Scottish Academy. He is regarded as courageous, unconventional and always good for surprises. For Shibe ventures beyond common guitar hits, he arranges music by Bach or digs up Scottish folk tunes - and in the process exhausts all the possibilities of his instrument.
