Replacement heads are not those made of shatterproof, break- and wear-resistant polyamide that you can buy from Ochsenkopf, nor are they the special shape of an ancient Egyptian sculpture that was used exclusively during the Old Kingdom as part of grave furnishings. No, Ersatzkopf are a band. On their albums, all of which are called Irgendwas-mit-geil, razor-sharp guitar riffs are paired with grooving basslines and driving drums. But it is the perfect blend of powerful music and expressive lyrics that makes Ersatzkopf so unique in the German music scene. Songs like "Polizeigewalt" or "Studium verkackt wegen Kiffen" show their profound complexity. Last but not least, their orbital over-hit "Kotze überall", which revolves around a chase with aliens, hits the headlines.
