Hangover

What is boxing legend Mike Tyson’s tiger doing in the bathroom? What is a naked Japanese man doing in the trunk? Why are kids allowed to run wild with stun guns? And where on earth has groom Doug (Justin Bartha) gone? After a night of heavy drinking in Las Vegas, nothing is the same for Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), and Alan (Zach Galifianakis): The next morning, the three of them set out on a painstaking detective mission to piece together the events and track down their missing buddy in time for his upcoming wedding. But somehow, all of Las Vegas seems to be after them all of a sudden. The scenario seems tailor-made for director Todd Phillips, who has consistently demonstrated his knack for raunchy guy jokes in “Road Trip” and “Old School.” This time, however, convoluted dialogue and assembly-line gags all too often leave the story falling flat.
