  Choral music is when women put on starched white blouses and delight the congregation with a bell-bright "Agnus Dei". Maybe. But it doesn't have to be. The Because Choir from Cologne prefers to stick with Green Day, Billie Eilish or Muse and is now rocking the Odonien stage once again.
  This may be due to the fact that the Because Choir only sings their favorite songs, but even more to the passion of the choristers and certainly to the surprising arrangements. This is thanks to a man from Buenos Aires, who one audience member said had more energy than "the animal" from the Muppet Show. His name is Mariano Galussio and his job is called "choirmaster". But in reality he is a composer, guitarist, pianist, conductor, entertaner - and arranger. Sometimes he only allows an aggressively snotted Rage Against The Machine sound, sometimes he elicits a delicate sound from his group of singers to accompany Billie Eilish's 'When the Party is Over'. No matter what the Because choir sings, breathes or roars - it sounds special. If not unheard of. More info
