Rather, it is an expression of the attitude to life that characterizes the everyday life of many Cariocas. Musicians of all generations, sambala lovers and friends meet here in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy cool drinks and samba late into the night.

Chris Quade Couto, Maxim Zettel, Nego Dó, Tam Silva, Jonivon Freitas and friends regularly bring this little piece of Rio de Janeiro to life in Cologne as "Roda de Samba do Alemão".

It has long since ceased to be an insider tip among Cologne's samba fans and now reaches lovers of Brazilian culture and music far beyond Cologne's borders.
