For Cariocas - the inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro - the Roda de Samba means much more than just a gathering of sambistas. It is an expression of an attitude to life that characterizes the everyday lives of many people. In a relaxed atmosphere, musicians of all generations, samba lovers and friends come together, enjoy cool drinks and dedicate themselves to samba until late into the night.

Chris Quade Couto, Maxim Zettel, Nego Dó, Tam Silva, Jonivon Freitas and friends regularly bring a piece of this special Rio de Janeiro feeling to Cologne with their "Roda de Samba do Alemão". This time, they will be welcoming a very special guest in the form of the unique singer Nixon Mota from Brussels.

The event has long since ceased to be an insider tip among Cologne's samba fans, and now delights lovers of Brazilian culture and music far beyond Cologne's borders.
