Today, Roosevelt, the multi-talented master of electronic music, releases a glimpse into the euphoric yet tentative first steps of a new romance with his new single "Ordinary Love." Sirens announce the new track with layered synths and a groovy interplay of guitar, percussion and bassline: a classic Roosevelt track that effortlessly blends an almost symphonic layer of musical parts with his breezy vocal delivery into something that is both soothing and irresistibly danceable. It's his first release after recently signing with his new label, Counter Records.Roosevelt (real name Marius Lauber) also announces his largest North American tour to date with over 35 dates in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto and more. Drawing from his diverse catalog and drawing inspiration from his own experiences as a DJ, "The tour will have more transitions and feel more fluid than ever before. I'm all about telling the story of how my sound is put together, not only by presenting it to its full effect, but also by constantly taking apart and reassembling its various elements. "About "Ordinary Love," Roosevelt said it was "written last summer in L.A. in a remote cabin in Elysian Heights. I was working on a demo that I initially called 'Wall Of Sound,' and I was adding a lot of synth layers together - I wanted to create a kind of urgency that resembled the euphoria of new love, with all its happiness, but also the uncertainty that comes with it. The idea for the sound of the Sirens played on an old Prophet 5 came to me when I wanted to create a sense of instability. It turned out to be a great contrast to the melodic chords, as there's always a slight disharmony throughout the piece." He added, "It's a great honor to be part of the Ninja Tune label family, which has always been one of my favorites. Many other artists and producers I know and am a fan of work with the label, and their crossover approach on Counter between the pop and electronic worlds is a great fit for my project. "It's going to be an exciting 2023 for the German electronic producer, having already collaborated with Nile Rodgers, Classixx and Washed Out, and produced major remixes for artists:inside such as Taylor Swift, CHVRCHES, Glass Animals and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
