Under the pretense of a false identity and a false gender, a mysterious soldier claims a manor - to the great displeasure of the village community. The true and convoluted story of a 17th century land and people swindler who was born a woman, behaved like a man and deceived an entire village. Sandra Hüller received the Silver Bear at the Berlinale for her performance.
